Quantity takeoffs
Trade-by-trade material quantities organised to CSI divisions — drywall, framing, concrete, electrical, plumbing and the rest. Timber frame is a specialism.
Chief Executive Officer, RBC Constructs
I'm Khalid Ramay — a civil engineer and cost estimator. My team and I turn PDF drawings into quantity takeoffs, cost estimates and bid-ready packages for contractors across the US, Canada and Australia.
Six zones of work, from a single-trade takeoff to running the whole programme. Keep scrolling to move across the plan.
I studied Civil Engineering with a specialisation in structural design at the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore. That background is why my estimates hold up under scrutiny — I read drawings as a engineer first and a pricer second.
At RBC Constructs I lead strategy and operations across estimating, material takeoffs and project consulting, with a team of 15 full-time staff plus specialist contractors. We lean hard on BIM, PlanSwift and AutoCAD to keep precision high and turnaround short.
Alongside RBC, I work directly with contractors through Upwork and Fiverr, and continue as an Estimation Engineer with Paradigm Building Solutions in British Columbia.
Send the plans in whatever format you have. No cleanup needed first.
We confirm trades, exclusions and what a finished deliverable looks like.
Grades, brands and any preferred suppliers get locked in before pricing.
Delivered in your existing bid format, if you have one. Free minor revisions.
Work with me however suits your procurement — a direct contract, an Upwork agreement with escrow, or a fixed-scope Fiverr order.
A long-running US client keeps coming back project after project, noting each time that the takeoffs land complete and well organised — no chasing us to fill in gaps.
Contractors juggling several live bids point to the same thing: estimates that hold up under tight deadlines, and are easy to review without a round of follow-up questions.
